FAQ
Answers for the moments customers usually check before creating links, using Pro analytics, or submitting support requests.
Yes. You can create an automatic short link and view its QR code without signing in. Use social login when you want to save and manage your links later.
Created links do not have a default expiration date. They are kept for service continuity, but links may be restricted if they point to illegal content, malware, or other policy-violating destinations.
Right now any well-formed URL can be shortened. To reduce spam and phishing, we are preparing a domain-approval system that will limit shortening to approved domains; once it launches, you will be able to pre-register the domains you need on the domain approval page.
Custom paths are a Pro feature. Pro users can choose a memorable path instead of an automatically generated code, using 3-32 lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens.
Free covers link creation, My Links management, search, sorting, and tag organization. Pro adds custom paths, visit counts, the full dashboard, per-link analytics, and recent visit history.
Pro analytics can show visits, referrers, device and browser, operating system, country/city, and language. Some location or language values may appear as unknown depending on the visitor network and request metadata.
Use the inquiry page to submit public or private questions. Private inquiries are checked with the password you set when creating them, while signed-in users can more easily follow their own inquiry flow.
You can delete links directly from My Links, and you can edit a link’s title and description. You cannot change the destination (the original address) a link points to, however, so that an already-shared short link keeps pointing to the same place every time.
When you shorten a link, a QR code for it is generated alongside. You can save it without signing in and place it on printed materials like posters, business cards, or menus; scanning it leads to the same destination as the short link.
Visit analytics are meant for seeing aggregate trends, not identifying individual visitors. Device and browser details come from the request’s User-Agent, and approximate region is estimated from the IP address, and no precise location or personal identity is handled. How we process data overall, including cookies and third-party services, is documented in our privacy policy.
linkpado answers every short link with a temporary redirect (302), so each click passes through the service and every visit is counted. A permanent redirect (301) would let the browser cache the result and skip counting from the second click onward, which is why we do not use it.
You can schedule a cancellation from the billing screen. Even after scheduling it, you keep Pro features until the current billing cycle ends, and the account switches back to Free automatically once the cycle is over.
